About 3CJ
Designer Kate Gray founded Third Culture Jewelry (3CJ) in San Francisco, California. 3CJ seeks to create designs with a uniquely feminine style that celebrate worldly travels and merging cultures. All pieces are handmade in our San Francisco studio.
Kate herself has lived in seven different countries and often describes herself as a “Third Culture Kid,” a person raised in a variety of cultures resulting in a personal hybrid of style. It was only natural then for Kate to name her jewelry line Third Culture Jewelry, a name that represents an eclectic aesthetic rooted in influences from Kate’s past and current surroundings.
3CJ’s first official collection, SF Love, pays tribute to the city Kate currently calls home. Each piece in the collection is inspired by a neighborhood or landmark in the Foggy City.
Kate is a trained silversmith and a graduate of Duke University.
